TechSpan® is the most reliable, cost effective pre-cast concrete arch system. This three-hinged system is the ideal solution for the construction or replacement of culverts and bridges.
In the last 30 years TechSpan® arches have undergone significant changes and improvements. Dimensions have dramatically increased, horizontal spans of over 20m, heights of more than 10m and, backfill cover heights of up to 50 m. over the crown are now possible. These features make TechSpan® a viable alternative to the standard underpass solutions. Techspan® is able to cover roadways of up to three lanes and is used in the construction of false high speed train tunnels.
State of the art techniques now make it possible to customize the thickness and radius of curvature as required. Tensile stresses are minimal. Advanced design procedures and fabrication allow for the arches to be used in high-load applications.
A wide variety of aesthetic solutions are available at the entrances and exits of the tunnels/arches.
